Insight Anti-Climb Downpipe Covers are galvanised pipe protectors which not only protect vulnerable pipework from vandalism and accidental damage, but are also designed to stop anyone from using the protected pipe as a climbing aid to help them to access a flat roof or vulnerable upper storey window.

These practical yet inexpensive pipe covers are popular and commonly used in high security environments such as prisons, custodial institutes, police stations and mental health facilities.

They are also widely used at retail premises by commercial organisations also by banks, local authorities, housing associations, schools and hospitals among many others. 

They are also a favourite with homeowners, keen to protect their homes from burglars, vandals and other unwelcome intruders and to provide some pipework protection to prevent damage.

Stronger than aluminium, our anti-climb downpipe protectors are manufactured from folded and formed galvanised steel sheet to provide a robust, weatherproof cover for your vulnerable downpipes and drainpipes, making climbing the pipes virtually impossible.

Our stock covers are available with a silver coloured galvanised finish, or overpainted with an attractive, easy clean and very durable, baked on black powder coat paint finish (other colours available to special order).

Note – These covers are designed to fit comfortably over most modern downpipes and drainpipes. However they may not be suitable for use with oversize downpipes such as older cast iron types with their bulky fixing brackets.

Installation

Quick and easy to install, each cover features a full length flange to either side, with each flange being pre-punched with 5 fixing holes.

Because the covers will normally be fixed to a brickwork or masonry surface, each cover is supplied as standard with 10 fast-fix masonry bolts.

Note – a 6mm masonry drill bit (not included) will be required when using the fast-fix masonry bolts to install the covers.
